"Is to be"
Event 1 is not the same as event 2. They are different. You are saved. That's one exclusive event. You come to a knowledge of the truth. That's a distinct event.
Same with being absent from the body and present with the Lord.
1 Timothy 2:4
Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth
2 Cor 5:8
We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord

Taking the Lord's name in vain
Exodus 20:7
Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

What does it mean to take the Lord's name in vain? It is NOT talking about using his name as a curse word. That was not the intent of this commandment. Although, using God's name as a curse word is still probably wrong and I recommend anyone stop doing that, but again, that isn't what the commandment is referring to.

It's actually referring to people who swear/promise. When you swear to God, that is NOT to be in vain. Meaning, if you swear to God, you better be telling the truth. If you are not, then you are using God's name in vain. You are lying, but you are also using God's name in an evil way by swearing to Him but lying. That's what the commendment is talking about.

Leviticus 19:12 says
And ye shall not swear by my name falsely, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the Lord.

This gives the best summary. Do not swear by God's name falsely, nor profane the name. That is what is meant by using his name in vain.

This is also why Jesus says in Matthew 5:33
33 Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths:
34 But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne:
35 Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.
36 Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.
37 But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.

Don't swear by God, or earth, or Jerusalem if you don't absolutely have to. Just let you yes, be yes and your no be no. Adding the swear just complicate it and can bring more evil if you are false.

Jesus had a habit of making things easy for his listeners. Simple and straight to the point. When asked what was the most important commandment in Mark 12 he says
28 And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?
29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

Jesus makes it easy and simple. You can follow all 10 commandments by simply following these 2. So to simplify the 3rd commandment, he simply
says "Instead of worrying about using God's name in vain, just don't use it at all. Don't use his name in your swears or promises. Just let your "yes,
I'll do something" be "yes". No need to add any swearing in there.

This is echoed in James 5:12
12 But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.
